SEDATION DENTISTRY

Nervous? We offer sedation options to keep you comfortable

You’re not alone — many patients feel nervous about dental treatment, especially surgery. That’s why we offer IV sedation to help you fully relax or even sleep through your procedure.

IV Sedation

We work with a trained nurse to deliver the strongest form of conscious sedation through an IV. IV sedation places patients into a dream-like state, and afterward, they remember little to nothing about the procedure. IV sedation also requires you to find a ride home.

Oral Sedation

Oral sedation is usually taken as a pill on the day of your dental treatment. The effects of this method take a little longer to activate, so you’ll need to ingest the pill before your appointment. The strength of oral sedation varies, but you will need to schedule a ride home from our office.

Nitrous Oxide

Commonly known as “laughing gas,” nitrous oxide is our lightest form of sedation to help you relax. Nitrous oxide starts working almost immediately and leaves your system just as quickly so you can drive home after a procedure. At Aesthetic Oral Arts, nitrous oxide is free.
