CEREC Veneers Might Be Right for You
The dentists at Aesthetic Oral Arts offer both traditional and same-day dental veneers. While we might recommend lab-made porcelain veneers in some cases, most patients can experience the incredible convenience of in-house CEREC restorations. Our New Hartford, NY, practice is equipped with an advanced milling machine that carves your custom veneers from a solid block of porcelain in under an hour. This cutting-edge system works using CAD/CAM (computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing) technology which can begin on veneer production immediately after taking your digital impressions. Same-day treatment is a perfect solution for patients with a big event just a few days away, giving you results in a fraction of the time as traditional dentistry.
Are You a Candidate?
Tooth Structure
In order for the veneer to lay flush with surrounding teeth, we need to remove a small layer of surface enamel. If you do not have sufficient enamel or have extensive wear and structural damage, we may recommend a crown that caps the entire tooth instead.
Oral Health
Before they can receive any type of cosmetic treatment, patients need to have good oral health and a commitment to good dental hygiene. We can provide any necessary restorative dentistry procedures to correct decay and periodontal disease prior to placing veneers.
Long-Term Goals
It is important to understand that veneers will permanently change your teeth, so you must be prepared to replace them in the future. Talk to our dentists about the aspects of your teeth you are unhappy with. We might recommend an alternative, such as dental bonding.
Your Treatment Timeline
Our state-of-the-art technology allows us to design and produce custom veneers in a single appointment.
What Do Veneers Cost?
While the cost of treatment will be different for each patient depending on their unique needs, our dental veneers typically cost $1,260 per tooth. As with other types of cosmetic dentistry, veneers are not covered by insurance. Our New Hartford practice has flexible financing options to break up the cost of your care and make it a comfortable fit for your budget.

Looking to Correct Multiple Dental Issues?
Consider a Smile Makeover
While porcelain veneers can address a wide range of problems, you may need additional work to get your smile where you want it to be. Rather than undergo several procedures separately, consider a smile makeover. A smile makeover is a custom treatment plan that combines multiple techniques into one streamlined procedure. It begins with a consultation at our New Hartford, NY, office to discuss your dental concerns and overall goals. We will then design a personalized treatment plan tailored to your needs.
Caring For Your Porcelain Veneers
Watch What You Chew
Porcelain veneers are durable enough to withstand normal biting and chewing functions. However, just like your natural teeth, they can crack when placed under excessive pressure. It is best to avoid biting down on anything especially hard or sticky, like toffee or ice cubes.
Prevent Stains
Porcelain veneers are made to match the color of your teeth at the time they are placed. While your veneers will resist stains from coffee, red wine, and other highly pigmented substances, your tooth enamel will not. Avoid stain-causing foods and drinks when possible, and schedule occasional teeth whitening treatments as needed.
Floss With Care
Remember, a veneer doesn't prevent decay of the underlying tooth. Be sure to brush and floss your teeth carefully each day. When flossing around your veneer-treated teeth, pull the string from front to back rather than up and down. A vertical motion could cause the floss to snag on the edge of your veneers, pulling them loose.
